Marshall Park Engagement Session
Fall in North Carolina is really something special. This year, the weather for this November engagement session was perfect. A little chilly for this Florida girl, but not so much it makes me miserable. 🤪 The beautiful yellows in the trees surrounding Marshall Park were breathtaking. But what was way more beautiful was the couple in these photos. They are SO much fun and were down for whatever we dreamt up. Their wedding was only 3 weeks away, so the excitement (and maybe a little stress) was mounting. Scroll down to read a little more about this hidden gem in uptown Charlotte, and see what we created for them!

Marshall Park is a quaint 6.5-acre park in the midst of uptown Charlotte (it’s in the Second Ward to be exact). While its size may not compare to other parks only minutes away, it does have some unique elements that have us wanting to visit again! There is a large fountain and lake that draw many visitors in, and they of course make for great photo ops. This park also has an amphitheater, a statue of Martin Luther King, Jr., and a holocaust memorial. Even in late fall, there is plenty of greenery for photos. The cityscape option also helps add variety to your backdrop.
PRO TIP: This park makes for a great pitstop if you’re wanting to travel through uptown during a photo session. With lots of coffee shops, rooftop locations, and easy parking, this park is easy to work into a photoshoot for providing you with a truly diverse photo gallery.
At sunset, we decided to visit one of the aforementioned rooftops nearby. We captured a few images of the couple with the unmistakable Charlotte city skyline in the background.
Thank you to Erin and Giovani for choosing us to document this incredible chapter of your lives. We’ve truly enjoyed getting to know you, and hope we get to serve more clients who are as kind and full of laughs as you are!
