This South Carolina State House fall session was so enjoyable. Fall is just a lovely time of year. The leaves start changing and temperatures start to cool, but it’s not too cold yet – at least in Columbia, SC.
Sujey and Jeff were a delight to be around, and made the session very relaxed. They have photos taken every fall (which is a tradition I LOVE), and have had sessions all over. Jeff is in the military, so they’ve lived in the midwest, and as far away as Hawaii.
The Location
The South Carolina State House is a decently popular location for photographs year round. If offers several scenic areas on the grounds, as well as visually interesting spots on the steps and platforms. If you live in the area and haven’t had portraits taken here, we suggest you take advantage of this free location during your next session.
The Shoot
We started this session on the iconic front steps of the State House itself. We took our time making it up the steps, and explored the landing with the stately columns. We then walked the grounds, took advantage of the sunlight coming through the trees, and found a few hidden walkways for some quiet time to snuggle up.
We ended the session across the street from the South Carolina State House itself. Sujey and Jeff were such good sports to go along with any areas we wanted to try. We love couples who put their trust in us!
Acknowledgements
