Westside Warehouse Wedding

Many couples put a lot of pressure on their day to be absolutely perfect. The reality is mother nature has her own plans and we just have to roll with the punches. For Carol Ann and David’s Westside Warehouse wedding in Atlanta, the entire southern US was pounded by a cold front bringing several inches of snow and ice. It was deemed “Snowpocalypse 2022”. In case you’re not from the south, this type of weather is not typical. Almost everything shuts down when there is even a small amount of snowfall.

Despite the concern about the weather, we all jumped into the day focusing on what was most important. From the moment I (Shannon) arrived at the getting-ready location and saw the warmth, joy, and excitement from all of the girls, I knew this day was going to be a ton of fun! The bride and bridesmaids were all proud sorority sisters. Naturally, they surprised and encircled the bride shouting out their house chant on the dancefloor.

Carol Ann and David chose to do a first look which was exciting. You can feel their nervous anticipation in their images. David twirled her and they giggled and laughed in surreal, blissful disbelief that their day had finally arrived. Overall, their day was sprinkled with fun, outgoing joy as well as soft and tender moments. Both of these emotions are show in their first dance images. They really are an incredibly sweet and fun couple!

The Location

I have to point out that the Westside Warehouse is perfect for a winter wedding because it can hold all of the day’s events indoors. They have covered porches on the front and back offering soft, beautiful light for portraits without having to get wet from rain or snow. The ceremony and reception can both take place inside, utilizing the beautiful glass doors to the outside in the main area.
