Some wedding days feel like pure magic, and this stunning celebration at Carmel Country Club was no exception. Set against lush greenery and timeless architecture, this wedding perfectly blended elegance, romance, and modern sophistication.

Picture-Perfect Moments

The getting ready portion of the day always buzzes with excitement and tension. Spending time one-on-one with the bride and groom helps calm the mind and helps build their confidence in front of our cameras. It’s also the perfect private opportunity for the couple to open gifts or letters to one another. Lucy and Nick’s indoor portraits before heading to the church are some of our favorites from the day. The large windows and backgrounds of their respective areas provided gorgeous light and scenery.

The outdoor landscaping at Carmel Country Club provided the dreamiest backdrop for their couple’s portraits following their ceremony. We also loved sneaking the couple away for sunset portraitsβ€”timeless, romantic, and filled with emotion. These quiet moments gave them a chance to soak in the day before heading to their lively reception.

A Celebration to Remember

The reception was a perfect mix of classic charm and modern fun. Soft candlelight, elegant florals, and a warm, inviting atmosphere made for an unforgettable evening. Guests danced the night away, and the couple shared the sweetest final private dance before their grand exit.

Carmel Country Club continues to be one of our favorite venues in Charlotte, offering both stunning outdoor scenery and elegant indoor spaces. This wedding was a beautiful reminder of why we love capturing love storiesβ€”each moment, from the stolen glances to the joyful celebration, is a treasure to remember.

Here is what Lucy had to say leading up to her wedding:

1. What are you most looking forward to on the day? 
Finally being married and spending time with friends and family all together! 

2. What inspired your wedding dΓ©cor? Did you have a theme in mind? 
Just classy and spring themed. 

3. Why did you pick the venues that you chose, and what is your favorite feature about your wedding venue? 
I (Lucy) grew up going to Carmel Country Club.  

4. What is your favorite feature about your wedding venue? 
The outdoor portions that look out on the golf course. 

5. Is there any particular vendor that you are really excited to have for your day? 
Our band! Atlanta Pleasure Band

6. Tell us about the food/drink at your wedding. 
There will be 3 food stations for the main meal: a chilled seafood station, a meat carving station, and a taco station. All our favorite foods! There will be a nice potato bar before dinner and some yummy hors-d’oeurves. Most importantly though, there will be an open bar! 

7. Which part of your wedding did you want to WOW your guests? 
We just want our families and friends to be wowed by how much fun they all have together. We love spending time with friends and family, but love even more when we can combine our different groups.
