We looked forward to this wedding so much. A Charleston South Carolina wedding on the marsh – few things are more beautiful. Although to be honest, the love between Katlyn and Alex gave the view a run for it’s money. This couple smiled from beginning to end, and their joy was so contagious. Their family and friends made this one of the most fun weddings we’ve had the pleasure to shoot. It was truly a celebration, and one we won’t soon forget!
The Details
Who: Katlyn and Alex
Where: Family private property
When: June, 2017
The Location
Boy, what an incredible piece of property this is! One of the couple’s aunts owns the stunning red tin roofed southern home and jaw-dropping property. She was so kind to allow them to not only have the ceremony on site, but also the reception. The ceremony couldn’t have been more dreamy with a large oak tree being the altar for the ceremony. With sweeping views of the quintessential Charleston marsh, guests were romanced by passing sail boats and one of the most perfect cotton candy sunsets.
The Decor
Katlyn chose an ivory and pink color palette. Gorgeous pink peonies were found in the brides bouquet, and on the reception decor. The head table bore an enchanting table runner arrangement, while other reception tables sported smaller vase arrangements. Old world charm came though as guests were able to partake in punch scooped from vintage bowls, and all of the catered food was displayed on various rustic crates.
