Wedding at Taylor Made Farms

This wedding holds a special place in our hearts. Over the course of wedding planning, Alicia, Rodney, Tim, and I became good friends. Also during this time, tragedy struck and Rodney suddenly lost his younger brother. As you can imagine, everyone’s hearts were laden with grief. One of the things I loved most about this Taylor Made Farms wedding in Taylorsville, NC was the deep ways Rodney’s brother was remembered and included. Rodney’s wedding band had his brother’s fingerprint engraved inside, and his image was attached to his boutonniere. Their perfect day may have had some rain, but we made magic. Emotions were high, but it brought everyone closer and the amount of love on this day was all but palpable. Scroll down to see and learn more about this incredibly memorable day.

1. What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Marrying my best friend!

2. What inspired your wedding décor? Did you have a theme in mind?

Pinterest! I saw a color scheme of dusty blue, navy, and grey and immediately fell in love.

3. Why did you pick the venues that you chose?

We only toured one venue. We wanted an indoor/outdoor venue with beautiful scenery. This one checked all of the boxes and the views are to die for. We got in the car after the tour and were both like, “would it be crazy if we just booked the first venue we toured?!” and we did just that!

4. What is your favorite feature about your wedding venue?

EVERRRYTHING. Our venue really went above and beyond when it came to decorating the venue. The bridal suite is probably one of my favorite places. We also love the fireplace and the beautiful wooden barn doors that we will all come out of for the ceremony.

5. Is there any particular vendor that you are really excited to have for your day?

Probably all of them. I feel like we have booked the dream team!

6. Tell us about the food/drink at your wedding.

We are having pulled pork and beef brisket as our main entrées from Charlie Graingers! The sides are coleslaw, green beans, and mac and cheese. I’m super excited about our cake! We are doing a small cake for us and then cupcakes and banana pudding for everybody else. I’m super excited about our flavors! Strawberry Champagne, vanilla, and chocolate!

7. Which part of your wedding did you want to WOW your guests?

Definitely the views from the venue, DJ, and the food/cake!
