This shoot was our most exciting shoot to date! Not only was it our first time photographing a proposal, but we were photographing a Biltmore Estate Proposal! My long-time friend from middle school, whom I had only seen twice in 13 years after moving to South Carolina, contacted me and I was over the moon!
The Preparations
We worked with Robert in coordinating the location, date, and time to make Nicole’s holiday season one she will never forget! Robert proposed the day before Christmas Eve, at the beautiful Biltmore Estate when it was in all it’s holiday splendor.
The Shoot
Being a photographer, you have to adapt to unexpected changes. Our plans shifted gears after Robert’s original proposal location changed because it became over-crowded. He wanted this moment to be private, so unbeknownst to Nicole, they took a detoured stroll. We raced against the clock as the weather changed. Rain was predicted for the time everyone would arrive to the new location. Luckily everyone arrived in time, Tim and I unseen. We beat the rain, hid in the bushes at the Statue of Diana, and the rest is history.
The moments we caught were some of the sweetest we’ve ever photographed, and we are so grateful they allowed us to share in their special day.
Congrats, Nicole and Robert!
