This Rosewood on Country Club wedding was simply spectacular. We met Lauren and Josh through a mutual friend, and are so grateful that they chose us to document their day.
These two are adorably beautiful, and oh-so-funny! They (and their friends) had us cracking up all day long. They love their friends and family fiercely, so it comes as no surprise they chose a good friend to be their officiant. But don’t think this day wasn’t full of emotions. Watching Lauren try to hide tears on her walk to her husband-to-be, watching their children each pour sand as part of the unity sand ceremony, and documenting Josh share a first dance with his new daughter was incredibly touching.
Did I forget to mention they are also huge University of South Carolina Gamecock fans? Their loved ones decided to surprise them both by having Cocky (the University of South Carolina Gamecock mascot) show up during formals! He stayed for the beginning of their reception, which made for one amazing Mr. and Mrs. introduction!
The Details
Who: Lauren and Josh
Where: Rosewood on Country Club
When: October 20, 2018
We began this day in the bridal suite overlooking the pristine sparkling pool. We photographed Lauren’s romantic-style gown in front of the breathtaking colonial-style home. Josh got ready, Lauren got ready. We snuck a few shots inside the open-air reception area and quickly ran off to capture the most anticipated part of the day – the ceremony.
From the prep time inside the home, to their charming and playful vows outside on the front porch in the autumn air, through to their beautifully decorated reception, this wedding was one that won’t be forgotten.
The Location
We lived in Columbia when Lauren and Josh booked us, so we had not heard of Rosewood on Country Club up until that point. Not long after Lauren confirmed this venue to us, we began looking up information and were understandably excited to see such a stunning venue in our future. It was even more beautiful in person, and the owners are more than accommodating to ensure their brides and groom have a stellar experience. With wide-open spaces, a large pond with a picturesque fountain, plenty of room for parking (and let’s not forget that open-air reception area), this venue makes planning easy.
The Décor
Lauren chose a blush, navy, and gold color palette. Lauren’s bridesmaids wore these colors in an ombré fashion (minus the color navy), which I thought was a lovely touch. The pink hue was really put on display at the candy bar at the reception. This bar was not only beautiful to look at, but it was so fun! Guests loved it! The pops of navy stood out on the gentleman’s suits, but also the tastefully imprinted napkins on the reception tables.
