A complete guide to Charlotte wedding venues! We have listed every wedding venue in Mecklenburg County, from uptown Charlotte to the surrounding areas such as Matthews, Monroe, Huntersville, Maiden, and Concord, along with the best locations for your wedding day portraits and engagement sessions!
Charlotte Wedding Venues
We might be a little biased because we’ve lived and worked in Charlotte for a few years now, but you’ve picked a phenomenal place to get married. Mecklenburg County alone has a wide gamut of wedding venues, from industrial chic to luxurious glam, to historical to rustic – there is something for every couple in every budget. The surrounding areas of Charlotte only add to the incredible variety you’ll find around the Queen City. We’ve included some of our favorites below this main Charlotte list broken down by town.
To narrow down your wedding venue search, take some time to think about what you’d like your wedding day to look and feel like. Does playing cornhole during cocktail hour sounds like you? Would you prefer to hold your event indoors in case it’s a bit too toasty in the warmer months, or you’re surprised by a late afternoon summer thunderstorm? Or maybe you want to wow your guests with the glitzy metro vibe of the city you love so dearly more your style?
Once you have a vision, start browsing through the different venue websites to see what fits your style, then schedule tours with all your favorites. Oftentimes a website doesn’t do a venue justice, so we highly suggest seeing your favorites in person before taking them off your list. Planning your wedding from out of state? Many venues have 3D tours, or will gladly do virtual tours as well!

This fresh and new venue debuted in early 2020! There are three different ceremony site options on the 25 acres of rolling hill and wildflower fields. The groom also has a large suite in the building next door complete with a TV, mini-fridge, and pool table. The chapel itself is lined with large windows and is a clean white and grey inside. Spinning Leaf is a wedding venue set on an 81-acre vineyard in the Mountains of Cleveland County North Carolina. It is all-inclusive which means full coordination and an in-house chef are included! Their property has an enchanting and spacious outdoor area complete with fairy lights for a lovely evening ambiance. The indoor facility is quite impressive. It can hold up to 200 people with plenty of room for a live band and dance floor. The space is already appealing as-is (their dripping crystal lighting from the ceiling is a show-stopper), but the team knows just how to put your own style and aesthetic touches to it to truly make it shine! This venue is only 1 hour from Charlotte.
