The Pointe at Lake Hickory
This brand new venue 15 minutes from Hickory, North Carolina offers some of the most picturesque backdrops a couple could hope for. This goes without saying, there are many other perks to this estate turned venue. We were so happy to be invited to join the Pointe at Lake Hickory on its first styled shoot, and we are over the moon with the experience! Not only did we get to capture some of the most unique wedding images (a couple with a horse?! How awesome, right?!) but we also got to meet some incredibly talented vendors. The concept they all dreamt up and brought to reality blew me away, and I’m sure it will you too. Read on and scroll down for some dazzling wedding and elopement inspiration! I’ve linked the entire list of vendors at the bottom of this post. 🙂
The Location
The Pointe at Lake Hickory is an 18-acre estate is located right on the water of Lake Hickory. There is a wooden cross set up right at the water for those seeking a religious ceremony. There is plenty of land for you to dream up and create whatever wedding style makes your heart sing. The home has 3 floors (the bottom floor is currently being completely renovated for wedding use!) which allows for plenty of room for getting ready.
The bridal sweet is quite spacious, which is hard to find in wedding venues! It is connected to a large bathroom with a soaking tub and large mirrors to ensure you will walk down the aisle feeling radiant from every angle!
While most guys are easy-going, they are well taken care of at this property. There is a pool table in the groom’s getting ready area so he can kick back and enjoy time with the guys. There is an all-too-important mini-fridge for cold beverages, a bathroom, several mirrors, and plenty of space to polish up without being up under each other.
The Décor
As mentioned above, the vendors that all came together for this day were unbelievable. A Bushel and a Peck Vintage Rental along with Milk and Honey Collective and Vintage Chic Rentals and Designs came together with this modern bohemian elopement concept. Every other vendor that was brought to the team from florals to table design created a romantic swoon-worthy day. The couple wore 2 outfits for this day. The bride changed from a wedding dress to a reception dress, and the reception decor matched it perfectly.
The color palette range was blush/rose, ivory, amber, grey, mustard, and blue. The table design included tiered candles and with a modern floral overhang. The amber goblets and rust colored napkins added interest while not being overbearing.
The dessert spread was knocked out of the park by Let Them Eat Cake by Flavia. Bundt cakes with deep blush drip icing garnished with blackberries, petite blueberry pies, and a caramel pecan cake were accented by blush and orange roses. It all coordinated so well together!
Thank you to Kelly Williams for inviting me to join in the fun. I appreciate your generosity, and I hope we get to work together very soon!
We hope this gives inspiration to current and future couples! Ready for an amazing wedding day? Get in touch!
