Vesuvius Vineyards Engagement Session

This Vesuvius Vineyards engagement session was unique to any other we have done. Kelsie wanted images inside her venue (the front room and staircase being her two favorites spaces) and outside utilizing the property. The even more unusual part is we photographed 90% of the session in the dark! While it may have been out of our norm, it allowed for us to become creative! We are SO looking forward to capturing their wedding at Vesuvius Vineyards in 2021! Scroll down to see some of the images we produced!

The Shoot

Vesuvius Vineyards is special to this couple because it is where they will get married! Kelsie is totally in love with the venue and just knew she had to get some photos in a few of her favorite spots. As mentioned, she wanted some photos in the front room of the large colonial-style home, as well as the staircase. She also wanted to incorporate the bridge across the street, which is the property of the venue owners.

Originally this session as set to take place at sunset. Unfortunately Kelsie and Zach arrived a bit late, which left us to work with the quickly fading sunlight. We did however create a fake sunset for a few of the shots. Can you spot which ones they are?

After the sun went down, we had a great time creating colorful and fun nighttime portraits. This isn’t something we don’t usually get the chance to do! While capturing standard portraits is nice, being able to capture natural laughter and something a little bit different is always fun!

PRO TIP: Set a few minutes aside for some nighttime photographs during your reception. You won’t be disappointed!
